Catalytic Converter Thefts

Been hearing a lot of thefts from friends lately. I didn't actually think it was a thing that occurred as widespread as it did but I guess the times encourage it.
You guys seeing similar stuff around your parts of the world?

I agree its a sign of the times, but its always been a pretty good racket for tweakers and such. Toyotas in particular because you can smash and grab one in minutes!

A friend who works at a Toyota dealership in SC was just telling me that it's gotten really rampant there, but the only thing I've heard about it in my neck of the woods was a few months ago when there were a string of thefts from fleet trucks and vans. Thieves don't need a jack and can grab several from a lot in one night so they're easy pickings.
