    Default BloodyBlade's Dream Computer

This summer I am going to work for my dad, and did the math to hours/days/wage working and will get about $800 after taxes and such.

    Detailed Description: http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/...e=New+Computer

    Brief Description:
    Processor: 3.0ghz Pentium 4
    HDD: 120gb
    RAM: 2gb (4x 512mb)
Motherboard: Socket T, Intel 865PE ATX, Pentium 4/Celeron
Video Card: SAPPHIRE ATLANTIS RADEON 9600XT 256mb

After shipping and tax, the computer is $910.00, already too much(I may remove monitor). As far I know everything is compatible. Anyway, if any of you know of better deals, if im being ripped off, if there are compatibility issues, or you think im a dip**** for ordering certain things, go ahead and help me out. I particularily want to find a better video card while the grand total is still <$800, so I'd like it if you can help me out. I've got until the end of August to revise this. This isn't necesairly a gaming computer, but I do plan on gaming on it.

EDIT: Added monitor, floppy drive, network card, and modem. I want brand new ****. It will be removed if I can't afford it.

k i when and looked at the list again and edited my post cause i missed the sound card and read the case wrong

but youll also need to see if your modem will fit in that case which normally isnt a problem

youll still want a really nic fan for your processor something like one fo those jet ones there only like 3 or 40 bucks, i built aa comp like this in my head and it came out to about 900 bucks and it was a little better but not much so your doing pretty good there.

also with that 256 graphic's card and all that ram and your new processor it will be a gameing machine, it might not be the best graphic's card out but it still kicks the hell out of my 64 mb one

i've been lookin for a case for about a month now (i'm in no rush...) the one you picked out i like the best so far! i mean really 450 w, window, led. Its better than most of the ones that are $100+!

Yeah, they're maybe a bit too expensive to throw in there, but if you have room in your budget I'd recommend one. I'm unsure of any exact prices.

Can run you 200-400 depending on who you go with. Cheapest is about 85 dollars that is just water cooled.

windows xp or 2k will use all the gig you can cram down it. What you want to know is if his mobo will use all 2gigs of it.

That looks a good compy. I may just buy it myself :DD

    It's pretty damn cheap.

Yes, it does look very nice. I just looked at your list and it looks like your under budget by a dollar too.
Do you have an operating system for it?
