Thread: Compressed, crypted executables

    Default Compressed, crypted executables

I am working with some dll that is compressed, crypted somehow. Here is my question. What is the best program to find out compression, crypt method ? I think it could be UPX (Addresses in IDA looks "UPX1:00468C19"). How to unpack this kind of files?

    Thanks from the mountain!

    UPDATE:
I have found how to unpack UPX step by step http://www.teamfurry.com/wordpress/2...upx-unpacking/ but my first question is still unsolved.
