Just recently got this little less than a month ago for about a grand. I was happy to finally upgrade to something modern. First time in a long time I've been able to play every game I throw at my desktop on Ultra High and high fps rate. I just bought Elder Scrolls V: Sky Rim and Battle Field 3 and downloading a bunch of others. I'm personally really excited for The third installment in the Serious Sam series to come out in the next couple of days. With the new Serious 3 engine redone the game should be awesome.

And yea, I know windows xp is outdated and no longer supported by Microsoft or even newer gamers such as BF3. I'm downloading windows 7 x63 Ultimate now and will hopefully have it installed by tomorrow night. I still love xp and only upgrading for the necessity of having to do so. It's sad such a great operating system has me stuck at 32 bit/3.5 gigs of ram. I hope Windows 7 works out alright for me. If anyone has any tips to stripping it or making it run faster I'd appreciate tips/links.

Just finished installing Windows 7. I like it so far and I haven't ran into any problems yet. Love being able to take full advantage of my 64 bit processor and 8 gigs of ram. I figure the only thing I'm lacking is a SSD for my main OS. Any suggestions on how big I should get and which one at the best price? Only thing missing really in my current arsenal of hardware.

I am as well Nick, no upgrades here yet too, I gotta make a decision.

@Antixhaxer: I am at 7.4 for ram and cpu and 7.5 for graphics but 5.9 for HD. Don't you just love how Windows caps HD rating at 5.9 UNLESS you have a SSD, it doesn't matter how fast the HD is. I have yet to take the SSD plunge but I might next build.

Yea, I was wondering about that. I was thinking about getting an ssd for under a 100$, but all of the reasonable priced ones are about 64 gigs and idk if that's quite enough for with windows 7 and some games installed. That and if performance would even increase as much as it should. What is everyone's take on if I should upgrade? If so give me a reasonably decent one under 100$. Thanks.
