View Full Version : If any programmer is interested..

Simply put for now, I need the program to do something like this:
- Connect/log-in to VGTour site using the username/password entered
in launcher settings. Must be a valid VGTour account to log-in.
- Check 4 bits of information from the SQL databases for that user,
to see if they match the account that user is currently logged on in
battle.net. These would be: Current USWest account, Current USEast
account, Current Europe account, Current Asia account.
- If the above is valid, then he/she can play a valid VGTour game.
- Automatically report/send information to the PHP form. Basically
fill out the report form for the user. Sends the following:
- Each player's APM
- Date of when game was played
- Each player's races
- Player names
- Match duration

There were some other minor features I would like, but they aren't
necassary for now. Also, I am working on a mod for battle.net that
changes the way the channel list of users is viewed, and the b.net
profile screen. One of the minor features would work with my mod.

Up for the challenge?

I know it can't be too hard to program, as since the basic idea is simple. retrieving data and sending data to a site.

Why don't you just do it yourself if it 'can't be too hard to program?'

Here's (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2616.txt) a good source about the HTTP Protocol which you'll need.

Here's (http://www.ethereal.com) Ethereal, a packet sniffer which will be useful.

Also, to make it easier on you, you might want a PHP script to display the 4 bits from the SQL database for you so don't have to learn about the SQL's protocol as well. I've personally never done anything involving it.
