Sup, Ubuntu noob here.

So i installed 8.04 inside my XP, and when i boot into it, nothing works. It won't open any basic files like a TXT file without thinking its some kind of executable, it won't play any of my MP3s or AVIs, it won't run anything i download, and it doesnt even recognize my graphics card. Now, it worked perfectly fine as a bootable CD, which is why i wanted to install, but i guess i expected driver support to actually be included.

What the **** is this?

Also, viewing this page in FF on ubuntu looks like ****. The text is all ****ing small.

Switch to 8.10. Released yesterday.
Many people's problems with 8.04 went missing as soon as they've installed 8.10 beta.

So you had time to do that but not modify the images.

or change my name?

if you want help then the best place to go is the ubuntu forums, just because they have guys there 24/7 usually watching forums that are meant for complete noobs.
what ive found tho is that sometimes driver issues with ubuntu are such a b that its not worth it in the end
