Determining slot #: The first, top-most, slot in your lobby is
numbered slot 0, the second slot 1, and so on.

user.
Works-in: Lobby

-> 3) /BL Remove
Removes the username and ip adress of a user currently stored on your banlist.

OTHER FEATURES
--------------

-> Auto-Banning
Any user or ip adress stored in your banlist file will automaticlly be booted from ANY
game you are in upon joining.

-> Banlist Databasing
Any time you add a user to your banlist, their information will be stored in a notepad
file placed within your starcraft directory. This information will allow you to archive
users you have stored, allowing for it to be read session after session of play.

-> Auto-loading
Any time this hack is injected it will automaticlly load all previously stored names
and ip adresses from your banlist database!

-> Unlimited bans
You may add as many users as you wish to your banlist without hitting a max or cap limit!

-> Username/ip logging
Banlist will automaticlly log the name AND ip adress of ANY user that joins ANY game lobby
you were in, regardless whether you were the host, and regardless whether the game started
or not. This information will be logged into a seperate notepad file stored in the dll's
directory, allowing for you to view the data of any user from any session at any time!

-> Manual Blacklisting / Automatic Ip Grabbing
You may add a known problem user to the blacklist simply by opening the blacklist database
(Located in your starcraft directory) and typing the users name onto a seperate, new line.
If this user joins your game, blacklist will automaticlly grab his or her ip adress and
add it to the banlist along side the previously placed user.

FAQ:
****************************

FAQ

Q: Will I be able to load previously banned users from an earlier versions list? What about their ip adresses?
A: Yes, version 2.0 is fully backword compatiable and will sucsesfully read names off already existing lists.
If a user is placed on the banlist without an ip address, the next time said user joins your game blacklist will
log their ip and ban it in corrospodnince with the banned name.

Q: Can I still add names to the banlist even if I don't know their ip?
A: Yes, you can still add a user if you don't know or have their ip address. On a seperate line in the blacklist,
with no additional markers, type the users name exactly as it appears on Battle.net. If the newly added
user joins your game, their ip address will be logged and added to the banlist automaticly.

Q: Help! I wanted to ban someone but I forgot their ip address/name - is there any way I can still find out?
A: Yes. Banlist logs the name and ip address all users you come into contact with during a game into a seperate
log file located in the same directory you placed banlist.dll.

Thanks for the update, but the config file does not seem to be working. I set "sethostcolor=0" but still the host has a different colour both in the lobby and in game. Also, /bl show does is not working in the channels for me.

pdot
01-30-2008, 07:00 AM
Are you using any other form of host hack?
and I don't think you can use /bl commands in channels.
only in game and game lobby.
Think Im right at least..

The Set Host Name config 0 really doesn't work.

pdot

Hm...wierd...
Well what are the implications of the 0 not working?
Do people really hate coloured host names that bad?

ulliklliwi
01-30-2008, 08:26 AM
my bad it should be

; 1 = on
; 0 = off
; This shows who is the host in the game.
sethostcoloring=1

cause if you look under it. i have the same but equal to 7

cool. idk if u saw my suggestion fro 2.10b but I suggested to add /bl addlast so it would blacklist the last leaver in the current game.

why don't you just add them in the game or look at your ip log?

why don't you just add them in the game or look at your ip log?
because it's much easier to type "/bl addlast" instead of "/bl add FjhnNka7775"

ulliklliwi

oh ya, just so you know, cuz i forgot to say it. Now all slots are 1-8 for "/bl nadd" its not 0-7 anymore. Just made it easier for you guys and girls.

Man I love this "utility." I've got over 200 people on my BL now, mostly people who leave mid-game. It's priceless when they whisper me back after being autobanned: "WTF WHAT DID I DO?" Great stuff, nice work, don't know how I managed without this! It's really amazing how often you play with the same dick players without realizing it, only after they started getting banned did I see how often they tried joining my games.

wow 200 people? I only have like 35 :P. I only see the same people joining sometimes but I probably only see people a few times because I don't just play the same map all the time. Like some people pretty much only play heaven's last stand or Naruto hokage battle. I play a huge variety of ums maps (many very old) and I sometimes play non ums but never in a big contigous timeframe.

it's just as deadly as host hack is... I think it'd be hillarious if ulliklliwi added a feature that when it's on everyone in the current game is auto blacklisted and it keeps blacklisting till turned off. Wouldn't be useful, would just piss people off.

user joins your game, their ip address will be logged and added to the banlist automaticly.

EDIT:
Might be some glitch with adding in game. Someone lagged out and I black listed them and i crashed again.

blacklist doesnt do anything in the game when u add someone. all it does is write them to the list, and say they where added, another hack ur running may unbalance the stack and crash. i did the same thing, and it worked fine for me. all the code is fine.

Well I got rid of mapinjector and many other hacks as they would conflict with the new version of oblivion. And I used Null-Drop timer instead of Xtazy because I wanted a null drop timer not a multihack :opps:

maybe because u have over 500 people on ur blacklist. And i didnt put no sleep or pause, and its multiThreaded, so its pertty much would be spaming the print to lobby function. Show me a error log or something. But not like i can fix it, do to i lost my source code, do to me breaking my laptop, and not backing up the source code on my file server. Who would of knew i would of killed my year old laptop, It was so young. Plus on top of that, im moving to california tomorrow 02/20/08, and im not bring all my servers and computers, just because cost will be to much, plus none of my computers now have windows on them, so i cant program for windows, im sure i can use linux and use WINE header files, but i dont think it will work on windows, so im not going to try.

Maybe a few months down the road, after i get everything in place. I will fix it all up. But if i had DirectX 6.0 header files and the library files. then i would make a nice GUI, with my own console. But i guess i have to wait for starcraft 2, before i can do any DirectX SH!T.

Then don't, just check the blacklist.txt in your Starcraft folder, it's just as sexy.

I inputted the IP Address;UserID manually and it doesn't show up ingame until much much later or not at all.

Anyone else get this prob?

I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong since I'm trying to banlist spoofers and the only way is to get their IP and banlist it like this:

192.168.13.13;SomeUser
122.118.13.15;SomeOtherUser
xxx.xxx.xxx.xx;SpooferID (manually inputted)

But it doesn't work and doesn't show up when i type /bl show

You must reload the blacklist file.

-> 6) /BL Reload
Forces a reload of your stored banlist file. If you manually edit your banlist with starcraft
running, you must use this command for any changes you made to take effect.

Use: Type as shown: /Bl reload

I fully agree. I've mentioned this in the past, it's a shame it was never implemented. I know that everyone on my banlist deserved the ban, but it'd be nice to know who was banned for what purpose. I've got about 200 people banned becuase they left in game for example. I might decide to let them play if they apologize and voe not to do it again, but I wouldn't let a hacker get away with that. It'd just be nice to know too, so I can see which ips are being banned for what reasons, just to get a kick out if it when the user tries joining again. It's no big deal and I of course live without it, but heh Ull if you're looking for ideas this ones got my vote.

Ah, thanks Zhuiden for the /bl Reload tip. Well, not really tip.. just my bad for not reading that part. Just like 2 quick questions:

1. Can I just manually input the ip without the name? I know it says we can just manually input the name without the ip but is the opposite true? Mainly a counter to spoofers.

ie
123.456.42.12;User1
13.132.314.23;User2
321.432.23.12

Is the last IP correctly inputted? Will it work? Do i need a semicolon after? " ; "

2. Can we have both the blacklist.txt and IPLog.txt files open while we play? Will it cause probs if ingame we blacklist someone but since we had the file open.. will it not update properly or we can't edit manually and /bl reload?

thanks

1. Just ban the spoofers name anyway. So if you do "321.432.23.12;God hates you" any time that specific spoofer joins they'll be banned, AND if anyone else at any time ever spoofs to that name again they'll be banned as well. That's what I do anyway. I'm not completly sure it'll work if you ONLY include the ip - it should though. If you have a friend who's not busy give it a test run.

2. You can have both files open. However, you'll have to close and reopen the ip log file to see any newly added ips. What I do when I play is I simply keep both my starcraft and hack folders open, so that if I want to ban someone both the files are right there.

The only problem I see in that is starcraft doesn't have much room to display that info. Now if ullliklliwi ever desides to make it a stand alone program like wc3banlist than I see it possible. Also, he could change the display system from sc chat to drawing to the sc window.

There's plenty of room for it. All Ull needs to do is make it so that in the actual bl file, it can store it in a third semicolon - eg Ip;NAME;COMMENT. And then whenever anyones banned it can just print: Banned PLAYER. (0.0.0.0)(Was an *******.) Nice and simple. You don't HAVE to have the comments in /bl show.

It'd be awesome if he made a stand alone app by the way but I doubt that'll happen.

Hm, yeh my bad for bringing that up around all the noob hackers...
I personally don't use it for that anymore anyways, I just wanted to add them to the list and the other times were just a test to see if it was consistent for me.
This hack should be redone so it doesnt call out the ban function when in game. The in-game blacklist feature should be strictly adding them to the list, not trying to ban them at the same time.
I don't have any premium hacks so I guess I've just been granted a free drop hack and I don't need/want it and i really don't want noobs to be able to do the same.

AsDgSaGsR
03-12-2008, 01:03 PM
This hack is very useful. However, may I suggest having the ability to display separate people in the lobby with separate colors? First I'll just quickly explain why I think this would be useful.

The only hackers I really want to ban are those with drop hack and pause hack (oh man is the latter annoying). Currently, these are the only types of hackers on my list. I use a red color code to highlight these names.

But then there are players who have hacks such as multi or mineral, and I'll still play them, but I'd like to be a bit more prepared before. Like if he's a good mineral hacker, I best go zerg too so I can keep pace with him when he minhacks. It'd be very useful for me if I could highlight such players in a different color (not red) so that I don't ban them, but it'll remind me that they're hacking. I also play the game at like 70% effort since there are so many noobs, and if I can remember that they're hacking ahead of time, it'll push me to play harder.

Just a suggestion. And I wouldn't mind if I had to go into the blacklist.txt file and manually select which players get which color code if that would make things easier for ulliklliwi.

It's not very technical, just download a loader (such as zloader) and read the instructions that come with it..

Ok so I have the dll file in the same directory as the loader.

when I run the loader (SC is running) it says the dll is successfully injected

but none of the commands are working. I keep getting a message from bnet saying "this is not a valid command"

I'm not using any other hacks. Is there somrething I'm missing in the readme files? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. You're trying to use it in the channel. Also, XP is needed, I think. You may never know.

I know a easyer way
ie
123.456.42.12;User1
13.132.314.23;User2
321.432.23.12,User2

couldn't you just put
321.432.23.12;
without anything past the semicolon and it should load the ip 321.432.23.12 with an empty string as the name or would the hack glitch when it tries to load this?

Just a lulz i got while overlooking this.

You have /blist add #

but then you also have /blist rem #

If they are in the lobby, and banlisted, wouldn't that mean your hack doesn't work?

Maybe i am misinterpreting, but the lobby is the game room before starting, correct?

Nice hack but I don't want to install this over my 2.10b version because I don't want my current bans to disappear.

How can I install this new update but still keep my bans from the previous version?

Thanks.

just inject blacklist.dll (2.10C). The new version will load your current bans.

If you use this hack give me some feed back on what you would want to make it easier for you to operation. What i was think is just draw the blacklist in a windows and you use the arrow key to move up and down the list.

yeah I was thinking of suggestiong something like that. have it pop up (kinda like obliv's chat logger) and let you scroll through the list (with comment support?). Mouse input would be secksy

comments yes, commands in channel no.

Well i said **** terminal, so i just going to add menus.
so u would use the arrow keys to select things in the menu.

edit:

Post what you would to have in the menu. The menu you see is only for in the game players. But there will be a menu you showing the blacklist.

Looking very slick! Can't wait to upgrade. Um, as far as what goes into the menui, of course the users in the blacklist, and comments for why they were banned.. as well as the players in the current game which you already have.. Maybe a search for blacklisted player? I duno, honostley it doesn't need to be much.

Why not channel commands by the way? Being able to see blacklisted players in the channel could help a lot. No big deal though, I was just curious. Can't wait for the comment feature.

Ill more then have channel GUI, in 3.1 but for the channel it just going to be a bitch. This is pretty much ever thing, ill be loging.
My goal is to not have to hook any of the chat engine in the game. If this game was D3D i would be done by now.

Maybe add color blocks by the names so you can quickly blacklist someone without needing to go to the allies screen to see who is what color. Also I think that "Add to BList" and "Remove from BList" should be switched depending on whether or not they are on your blacklist.

The blacklist appears to be adding and removing people fine. But lets say someone on the blacklist joins my games, the blacklist bans that person and my SC will immediately crash. I then get a window "Starcraft has encountered a problem and needs to close" blah blah blah.

I'm NOT using any other dll files (no hacks) I'm a clean player. Can someone please address this issue, thanks :)

ok first off i wanna say Ulliklliwi you've done n still doing amazing work with this Blacklist creation....i only have one question...can i permanetly ban a person from messaging me...because i have this one extremely childish prick monkey who has been crying over the past few weeks because i banned him from one game for downloading soooo slow...that he keeps creating several different accounts and messaging me with them..it gets tiring after i think its called squelch-ing 10 different accounts...and as far as i know, battle.net officials will take to long n probably overlook it...

soooo is it possible that when i add them to blacklist, it will stop them from messaging me aswell?

,

thanx

perhaps that could be possible but blacklist doesn't do this. The only option you have for now is just squelching him or using dnd mode ie. "/dnd stfu noob" then anyone who whispers you will see "stfu noob"

hows the new version coming along? A gui would make things quicker, especially for those with hard to read names (no clue what # they are when in game).

I like no autobanning players. I like blacklisted palyers joing my match so I can call them out as a drop hacker and then ban them from the game when they say stuff like "no not me"

Users blacklisted can easly change their ips (dynamic ips, etc); can you add the function to ban by ip and by username?
Example: 123.123.123.123;user-lame bans the user-lame only if he has the same ip 123.123.123.123.

thanks

Good job!
I hope next version could manual each name of blacklist each color.

For example:
Different colors could help me to distinguish between who used money hack(black name) and who used map hack(gray name) before in the lobby.

I do not run any other hacks but this blacklist. I run them using zLoader. I don't have any other funkey things or starcraft-related things running during the time I'm using the blacklist.

Things I'm having issues with:

-
1. Just ban the spoofers name anyway. So if you do "321.432.23.12;God hates you" any time that specific spoofer joins they'll be banned, AND if anyone else at any time ever spoofs to that name again they'll be banned as well. That's what I do anyway. I'm not completely sure it'll work if you ONLY include the ip - it should though. If you have a friend who's not busy give it a test run.The problem here is that I see a lot of people spoof REAL people's names. I have people spoof my friend's names and my own name. I have my own login name down in my blacklist at least two or three times because I pissed off some hacker so he started spoofing my name over and over. I can't ever get the ip of the original person if, for example: Spoofer joins as name "ilovedick", but ilovedick is in a channel. The spoofer leaves my game, another spoofer joins as "ilovedick", he leaves too. Then the original, real ilovedick joins. I can't tell who's who anymore and I have 3 ips for this name. I get into other weirdass situations like this one where I get multiple ips and can't ever find the spoofers. The blacklist currently records all these ips, but doesnt' discriminate between them. It'll ban all 3 of them but not the original one who isn't hacking at all. I hope this example makes sense.

-Related to the last one a little: I have this one guy who joins my games on any and every name but his own (half of them are fake names, half of them are real names he sees in channel and spoofs them so it's a "legit" name). I have his ip, but the blacklist never highlights his name. It has his IP so why isn't it highlighting his name? He should be on the list, but it doesn't show me that. I also can't see they are spoofed names. Somehow he can make it "real" so if I /whois it shows me he is in my game, but he's actually spoofing from another channel or something. There's only 1 guy I know with this kind of hack and I'm not sure how he does it or how to counter it.

I would like to note that I am aware of where the blacklist files are, I do check ips with names both in my logs and on my blacklist. The ips match all the different names that should be getting highlighted, but they are not highlighted in the game. I know how the program SHOULD work, but it isn't working properly for me for some reason.

-Another problem I have is how it autobans. I have autoban turned off, but autoban for spoofing turned on. It autobans everyone on my blacklist and tells me they are banned for spoofing (though they are NOT spoofing). I went and tested this on 10 random people. I added them to blacklist, and the blacklist immediately kicked them for "name spoofing" or whatever. If all 10 of these people were spoofing, okay, but I doubt it. Because it autobans 100% of the time for spoofing for anyone I add to my blacklist. This feature is either broken or ****ed up on my file somehow (though I doubt this is the case as I have thoroughly gone through the config files by now and reread the instructions to death). Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it? Also, the autoban (for spoofing or otherwise) does not work with people I have on my blacklist who are not highlighted in my games. Example: ilikedick joins my game, I add him to the blacklist, he is autobanned for "spoofing" (he maphacks, not spoofs), and joins my game again on another legit (not spoofed) account name. Blacklist doesn't autoban him or even highlight his name for me.

Things I'd like to see added:
-A comment feature of some sort. I want to know who hacks and who is known for leaving games but doesn't hack, or who lags but doesn't leave or hack.

-
However, may I suggest having the ability to display separate people in the lobby with separate colors?This would be awesome.

-A fix to the auto ban issue. I want to auto ban name spoofers, but not auto ban the people on my list (unless they are name spoofing of course). A blanket "KICKED FOR SPOOFING" isn't good. I don't want to see someone (or multiple people) from my list drop immediately every time I join a game (people get suspicious, you know?) but I do want name spoofers to be automatically dropped because they all need to burn and die for being so blatant about their hacks :big_smile:.

If I can think of anything else I'll post again. If you can help with my problems, please let me know in detail what I can do to fix them.~

Okay, I went and did a lot of testing. First, I joined about 20 random games and banned about 20 random people. It was "banned for color spoofing" every time, though these people did NOT color spoof. One game I joined two people got banned and the color spoofing message looked different than any other time I've seen that message--I think those two were *actually* spoofing, and the rest just get some sort of generic autoban spoof message (this is a bug, they are not actually spoofing). So this is the first thing I found out--that the autoban feature doesn't work properly, at least as far as it's concerned on my own computer.

The second and far more important thing I found out is this: The blacklist seems to give preference to names instead of IPs. I had a friend join my game on 3 different accounts. I IP banned on the first account; it logged his name and IP in my blacklist. He joined on a second account name. Not only did it not autoban him, it didn't even highlight his name to show he was on my ban list. I exited out of starcraft, manually added the account name (without giving it the IP address) into the blacklist, went back into the game, and this time it autobanned him like it was supposed to. Granted, it was banning him for "color spoofing" (he wasn't), but at least it was giving me some kind of autoban on this second account now. He joined my game on the third account name, and again it didn't autoban or even highlight him. I manually added the name (without the IP again) to the blacklist and this time it worked to ban him.

On the one hand, I don't mind that I need to manually add names to ban people, it's a bit of a hassle but I can deal with it. However, this method will NEVER catch spoofers. If I manually add names that are LEGIT names that spoofers are using, I can never actually catch the spoofer because it will ban the real person but not the spoofer. Example: A spoofer's real name is ApplesandBananas but he spoofs all the names he uses to join games. Let's say there's someone in a game of EVOLVES named Raven. ApplesandBananas spoofs the name "Raven" and joins my game. Let's say he leaves after I add that ip to my ban list. Then the real, legit Raven joins my game. The blacklist recognizes a match with the name "Raven" and bans this non-hacker from my game. ApplesandBananas then joins my game on the name "tehsuxru" and the banner doesn't catch it because there is no name match, even though the ip matches.

Theoretically--I haven't seen this yet and I'm waiting for it to happen when a name spoofer joins my game--Theoretically, the autoban for spoofing should be catching this spoofer, and as I said I'm waiting for a situation to arise where this might be the case, but so far it doesn't seem to catch any spoofed names at all so long as a legit name is online. Does this program search for the name to be online, or for the name AND what game that name is in?

So far the program is useless for me against spoofers, but it works well against people who log into my games from multiple accounts. I can manually add their names to the blacklist and it will see a name match and ban, but searching by IP has proven useless to me so far.

Perhaps this is a bug just for me, but this is a serious enough bug that it makes half the point of the program worthless.

Anyone have any suggestions on ways I can fix this, or have you found your own solutions that I can use? I'd appreciate the help

ulli, I did read the read me. It is set up correctly. I can't explain this problem in any other way. There are a lot of bugs with it and it isn't working.

I'll try to give another example of what's going on.

Sigg is the original name. He joins my name as Siator. I ban Siator, realizing it is a spoofed name after I /whois. I do a /bl add Siator. It says Siator has been blacklisted. Sigg joins my game again as Zecknaal. Zecknaal is not booted as a spoofed name OR highlighted as an IP on my blacklist. I do a /whois on Zecknaal and ban him after I realize he isn't there. I can't /bl add Zecknaal because it tells me "Could not retrieve IP" or something similar to that error message. I minimize my starcraft, go to my blacklist, and manually add in the name "Zecknaal" so it knows to high light that name in the future. I will save the text file after I exit starcraft because if I save it while in starcraft it ****s up because I'm running the program and it is incapable of saving while I run it. Sigg starts getting pissed I keep banning him and finally joins my game as Sigg. Now he's on his REAL name in my game and is about to hack me. Again the blacklist doesn't register that this is the same IP as the past names who have joined and it doesn't autoban or highlight his name as someone on my blacklist. He drophacks my entire game, and I'm screwed out of the game I was hosting.

This is the problem that keeps happening over and over. The blacklist doesn't seem to recognize the IP of the people joining so much as their names. It name-checks just fine and dandy and autobans anyone with a matching name, but it does NOT autoban for matching ip. I have read the read me multiple times and played around with the config file and tested this thing over and over with a friend. Unless I'm the only one having this problem, it can only be a bug with the blacklist program.

However, if I *am* the only one with this problem, then I'd like advice more helpful than "read the read me" :/ Do you have any idea why the blacklist program is doing this? I'm going to experiment later with my friend and have him do all the banning on his end to see if it's a problem with my own blacklist or bugs in the program.

Edit: This also doesn't work with multiple accounts. I can have the exact same situation as earlier except that Sigg joins on multiple accounts. It doesn't highlight his name and it does not autoban him when he logs on his Zecknaal account or his Siator account. It doesn't work with multiple accounts or spoofing. I CAN go manually add all the other names (Zecknaal and Siator) and it will start banning them, but this seems to focus on their names and not their ip addresses. Does this program not ban by ip address? It seems to focus on the names and the names only in my situation.

I tried turning off the autoban for color spoofing and it still doesn't want to highlight names based on ip addresses. If I manually add names it'll highlight just fine, but it won't catch other names from the same ip. Later tonight I'm going to have a friend do all the same tests I do to see if I can figure out why this isn't working, because my blacklist isn't banning based on ip address at all. I'll let you know what happens with the testing we do later and see if that might narrow down what my problem may be.

Okay, we did some EXTENSIVE testing of this program. My friend Zeck and I downloaded this program around the same time in the last few days of May, just to clear that up.

I'm going to explain this in as simple and short an explanation as I can so I don't lose you in paragraphs upon paragraphs of explanation of each little thing we did. If I need to go in-detail to explain the situation I'll do so for you in a separate post.

Zeck ran the blacklist. I joined his game. He added me to his banlist. The banlist highlighted my name (his autoban was turned off for these experiments, I already know from experience that the autoban feature is a tad buggy anyway so we didn't bother using it in our experiments tonight). I logged off my first account. I logged on a second account. Blacklist did NOT highlight my name, however it DID log my ip address. Blacklist can clearly see that the ip addresses are the same, but it did NOT highlight my 2nd account name. I logged off my 2nd account and logged on a 3rd account. BL did not highlight my name on the 3rd account.

Zeck went and manually added all of my account names to the blacklist. Each of my names highlighted the proper way they are supposed to. Manually adding account names works. However, we noticed that it's impossible to simply add an ip address instead of putting a name in because the blacklist registers the ip as a name and not an ip. Example:

75.132.21.141;starcraftdick1
99.227.126.253;fagballs2
70.15.234.236;anotherasswipe3
24.180.186.150;ireallyhatethisguy4
AnaccountnameIaddedmanually <-------This works just fine. It's an account name, not an ip.
90.127.135.876 <---------This registers as a name and not an ip address, so I can't ban by using an ip

*This would be a nice thing to have in the next banlist update*. If it's possible to do, of course.

While I understand according to the Read Me that you can add by account name and it'll grab the ip, this program doesn't seem to actually do that. 100% emphasis is placed on the *account name*. BL does log ips and it does so very well and efficiently. However, it doesn't DO anything with those ips. They just sit there in an ip log. Sure, it adds the ip of a blacklisted user to my log, but the blacklist never catches anyone on that ip. About the only way the ip logging is helpful to me is so I can search through a comprehensive document of all the ip addresses I've collected thus far and manually search for the other account names with matching ips so I can ban them all. But doing this is a tad obnoxious since the blacklist is supposed to be doing this for me already.

I'll illustrate what banlist is doing as best I can as far as my friend and I figured out.

Example:
Varen join the game. Zeck blacklists Varen. Blacklist writes down "90.90.90.999;Varen" in the blacklist. Varen is banned. Varen logs on account TehAwesomz. Varen/Awesomz joins Zeck's game. Zeck's blacklist sees that Awesomz's matches Varen's ip address, but it doesn't see Varen's name, so it doesn't respond. TehAwesomz's name is not highlighted and (if it's turned on) not autobanned. The blacklist also did not add TehAwesomz to the banlist (I'm guessing the blacklist is supposed to add additional accounts to the list. But, I guess if it actually banned on ip, it wouldn't need to since it'd just kick everyone with matching ips whether they were on the official blacklist.txt or not).

That seems to be about it. The essential flaw we've found is that the program doesn't actually react to ip addresses. It's not bad for long-term game play since I can add multiple accounts manually (though I have to deal with dickheads logging on multiple accounts over and over until I capture all of their main accounts on my blacklist log). But, BUT, it SUCKS against hackers. I have absolutely no way to defend myself against name spoofing or people spoofing other legit peoples' names--because this program will add the spoofer's ip as the legit person's ip in my banlist and therefore **** up how the blacklist adds the ip to the blacklist log--so the program fails me for the purpose I downloaded it.

I absolutely love the idea of this blacklist program and I'd like to see it working. I don't mean to be malicious by finding the bugs in it, I just want to see it working properly. I can't find any other program to get rid of the jackass hackers in my games except for this one.

I hope this was helpful for you.

Edit: While I understand according to the Read Me that you can add by account name and it'll grab the ip, this program doesn't seem to actually do that. <-----To clarify: Zeck is online but has never joined my games. I /bl add Zeck. BL doesn't have an ip for him yet, but it adds his name to the banlist (as far as I can tell, this feature does work). When Zeck next joins my game, it'll log his ip and add it to his name in the blacklist. This works, as far as I know. What I meant was that it grabs the ip but doesn't do anything with it. It may not even put it directly onto the blacklist as far as I know. It DOES log the ip exactly as it's supposed to as far as I have seen.

Zeck and I talked about what we were doing opposed to what you just said. We didn't realize the highlighting was a distinct feature from/with the rest of the program. I'm going to experiment again with turning autoban on but leaving banning for spoofing with colors off to see if the results are any different for us. I understand why we kept running into that bug then because we don't always want to automatically kick every single player on our blacklist. I'm curious to see if this works for me. I'll have to test later on with my friend and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the explanation! I hope our failed testing was worthwhile in some way ^.^

Using auto ban works just fine for the people I have on my blacklist. It catches everyone from matching ips and boots them from the game. As far as I can tell, this feature is broken. I've tried to experiment with it a bit and gave up because the program doesn't discriminate between banning because you hate them and banning because they spoof their name. I think that if you join a game where someone is using a color spoof, it will kick them the way they are supposed to. If someone joins your game who is on your ban list but is NOT, I repeat NOTNOTNOTNOT Color OR Name spoofing, and it tells you that they are being banned because of color spoofing in their name, it is WRONG. This is a glitchy feature that doesn't work properly. I leave it off because it seems to ban every single person on my list for "color spoofing".

I advise leaving it off. If they are going to spoof, they probably wouldn't be using colors anyway. As far as I can tell, the "color spoofed names" feature doesn't work on spoofed names, only *colored* names. Hope that makes sense.

No, but it does the same thing to me. You can ONLY. And I mean ONLY, add people when you ARE IN THE GAME LOBBY. Do NOT add them while you are in a game, do NOT add them while you are in a chat channel (ex: Brood War US-East 11, or something like that). ONLY game lobby. If you add them while you are in the game, it seems to act as a drophack but it crashes *your* game as well. At least, this is what I've experienced so far. It's not a good drophack because you have to exit all the way out of Starcraft and load the game back up. That's annoying just to drop a game :P

It only does that cuz in your .ini file you have it set to color blacklistees. The Hack mistakes it for a color spoofer but whats that matter anyway? The blacklistee is out of your game either way.

Thats cuz in your .ini file you have it set to auto ban. To add someone in a game just type "/bl auto off" before you add them. Simple fix. By the way double posting is against the rules.

Darklight:

I had the feature to color their names on without having ban for color spoofing on. It colored the names properly for 1 account but didn't follow across all the different account names they'd join on (I have written like 3 posts on this now if you check my long posts from previous pages). I'm not sure if it was banning them for color spoofing after it had colored their names. If I have name coloring on with ban-for-color-spoofing both turned on, there's no realistic way for me to check this. The only way I could test if there's an issue with the ban-for-color is to turn that on as well as the autoban and see if it still tells me that everyone's being banned for color. However, I'm not certain this would even work as the autoban message ("Banned player xxxxx (##.##.##.###) from the game") might take priority over the color-spoof-ban message. Follow? And yes, I do manage to get the blacklistee out of my game with or without the name coloring on, but it would be nice if I could have both the colored names thing on and automatically kick people who have colored their own names... I can always turn on autoban and then add the spoofer and make sure they can't get back in. It's more a convenience thing and a feature that seems to not mix well with other features is all.

"To add someone in a game just type "/bl auto off" before you add them."

That was actually helpful--thanks. Didn't realize I could use those commands in a game.

"By the way double posting is against the rules."

Double posting? I never double posted a message. I did respond to two separate people, if that's what you're talking about. I quoted them and responded in separate posts. That counts as double posting?

Anyhow, I'm glad we're finding different ways to tweak the program a bit so it works even better in the next version~

I see what you mean about the color spoof ban thing. Im glad I helped, I hope others will read the thread long enough to see that if they already did think of it. And yes responding to 2 different posts in different posts of your own is considered double posting unless someone else's post is in between. Otherwise you'll have to do what I did in my previous post and multi-quote.

Actually it doesn't drop anyone, and it only crashes you.

I wonder if I was experiencing something different because of all the settings I was messing with. I was playing with the friend that I was doing all my blacklist experiments with and he told me that myself and the person I was attempting to blacklist got dropped.

Anyway, thanks for the info :)

Where # is the slot number of a user currently in your game lobby.

Determining slot #: The first, top-most, slot in your lobby is
numbered slot 0, the second slot 1, and so on.

Example: Instead of having to ban a user with the name: "lllllllllllllll",
you can determine his or her slot number, and type: /Bl nadd 2 to ban the
user.
Works-in: Lobby

-> 3) /BL Remove
Removes the username and ip adress of a user currently stored on your banlist.

Use: /Bl remove <name>

--------------

-> Auto-Banning
Any user or ip adress stored in your banlist file will automaticlly be booted from ANY
game you are in upon joining.

-> Banlist Databasing
Any time you add a user to your banlist, their information will be stored in a notepad
file placed within your starcraft directory. This information will allow you to archive
users you have stored, allowing for it to be read session after session of play.

-> Auto-loading
Any time this hack is injected it will automaticlly load all previously stored names
and ip adresses from your banlist database!

-> Unlimited bans
You may add as many users as you wish to your banlist without hitting a max or cap limit!

-> Username/ip logging

Demanding? How is 'Fix it then.' demanding? You sir need to learn some new words and how to actually apply them to other words before you accuse. In this case learn how people actually 'demand'.
