Vista blows.
Agreed, although I still use WinXP as my main system. Yet, I tend to switch to Linux, when Vista gets more popular.

Yeah I do, Linux rocks.

Anybody else see the correlation in grammar between those who've liked linux and those who haven't?

I use Windows XP. If Ubuntu downloaded faster than 30 kb/s, then I might try it.

I downloaded Ubuntu at around 300KB with the direct link from the FTP.

Anyways. Ubuntu + Beryl makes a good vista.

More liek Vista fails at being a good Ubuntu + Beryl.

I use ubuntu 6.10 dual booted with windows xp on my computer. My parents exclusively use ubuntu 6.06 on there old computer.

P.S. Use the torrent for ubuntu. It is much faster.

Just made the switch over to Ubuntu today, but apparently, Ubuntu doesn't like me.

If it's the fault of your box's weak configuration, then try Xubuntu or, if you're patient enough, wait for 7.04 Feisty Fawn and a stable Fluxbuntu release.

Ubuntu doesn't like newbs (applied to me when I first tried installing), and setting up your gfx card is hard especially if you have an ATI card. All you need is someone to guide you through a bit of tweaking here and there and you should be fine.

I prefer to have at least two operating systems on each computer. On my desktop is WinXP, Win98SE, and Debian. My laptop has WinXP, but when I tried to install Debian, I had video issues... So instead, I got Windows Vista (for free from the college of engineering) and installed it. I was just about to stab myself through the neck, when I realized that I could just delete the Windows Vista partition in Windows XP. How convenient!
