Yo, I want to spend around around 400-500 dollars. You think I could afford to build a computer that can play games such as everquest, enemy territory, and Galactic Civ? Any hardware suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I would go with a decent single core, such as a AMD Athlon 64 3800+, a $100 mobo, Nvidia Geforce 7600Gt, 512-1GB RAM, 160GB HD, and a Black Case<=LOL!.
That totals out to about 500-600, but that's about the most bang for the buck you're going to get for that much. Any lower, and you start losing the benefit of getting a new computer as opposed to upgrading.

Thanks. I will look into that hardware. I don't need anything to fansy, cause I can't afford it right now. But I just need something to get me started so I can play games instead of lag in turn based games. I.E. Heroes of might and magic.

I don't think he heeds the Sli mobo, and nForce4 chipsets are crap. I would go with a good overclocking mobo, because a 3800+ Oc'ed to 2.6-2.8 would be a killer bang for the buck.

Here is a suggested computer.....

1) Nf4 are quite decent
2) Need it or not, SLI is always good to have for an inexpensive price
3) Has good Oc'in capabilities, eventhough I doubt hes going to be Oc'in much i.e:

Made a motherboard change, but all of the above still stands.

Not the 430 ones.

I own a M2npv-vm, and it is crap.
