So I got an Ipod nano. I plug it into my computer, itunes opens, but itunes isn't showing it. It shows in my computer, and Winamp even asks if I want to manage it with winamp. I tried to format it, but that didn't do anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Also if I can get a link to the Ipod Updater program I'd offer some rep (as for fixing the above) since I can't seem to find a link to it on apple....

the newset version of the ipod updater is built into itunes.

try quitting the ipod service with task manager and then reattaching the ipod.

I've done that, what do I do afterwards? I need to put songs onto it with iTunes...

Did you install it with the disk that it comes with or you downloaded ITunes off the net.

didn't come with CD with itunes cuz I got it from a freind at school in exchange for my shuffle. He was just using it for jogging in the morning and had a 60 gig for real music listening if you're wonde4ring why he'd want to trade.

Anyways, I got it working. Now I'm thinking of putting Podzilla on it. I'll have to speak with that fellow at school about it.....

Thanks for the help Calavera!!

Plug the iPod in. End task iPodService.exe and iPodHelper.exe. Open iTunes.

Might take 1 or 2 tries.

Howard, iPodLinux is awesome. I suggest you put it on there. Don't forget a boot loader so you can switch between Apple OS and Linux.
