I formatted my two main hard drives and installed Windows on one of them. However, at least 2/3 of the time I log in, my computer restarts itself almost instantly, and it won't recognize my Logitech mouse almost all of the time. It will only consistently recognize my old PS/2 optical mouse. Also, a considerably more serious problem is that my Games hard drive won't even show up in My Computer. It won't recognize my wireless card, so I can't get on the internet with it, and it won't let me format my small partition to install a second copy of Windows on that, even though it's empty.

Update your bios and install your motherboard/chipset drivers.

Is this a new computer or an old one?

I'll go with the BIOS update. What version of Windows. If it is ME/Vitsa/NT 4.0 then I'd reccomend a different OS.

Ok, I'm going to download the BIOS update and drivers. I'll post again with the results.

Do you have the main cord thingy going to the windows drive? IS THE DRIVE SET TO MASTER AND SECOND HDD SET TO SLAVE?

Cable select would be much better.

I'm using SATA hard drives, so I don't need to worry about Master/Slave.

I got it working now, obviously. :)

Damn, guy. You and your trickery. :(. Just have a BIOS repair disk handy. You could just pull the BIOS chip and order a new one for afew cents.
