Upon installing the CPU, the heatsink came into contact into the CPU, and then was removed, leaving some pre-applied thermal grease on and then put back onto the CPU (none of the grease got on anywhere but onto the CPU). Is this a problem?

I'm using a power cord off a really cheap power supply, will this damage the PSU? It's the cord where one side is plugged into the PSU, and the other into the wall.

Also, I have my computer plugged into a power strip without (one of those which turns one socket into 3 and has no power switch) Will it damage my computer if there are other devices plugged into it too?

Sorry Bloodyblade googling doesn't seem to help.
