1. Host your image on a server.
2. Use [ IMG]http://www.yourserver.com/yourfolder/yourimage.[filetype][ /IMG].

Note: Remove the " " in the tags, and [filetype] with your IMG filetype.

You have to send a request to the mods. In your request, you have to specify what the image is going to be. Also you need to type a short essay 300 words or more, explaining why you want an image for your sig. After you do this, they will give you further directions.
lol

i'm going to laugh really hard when i get PM's titled: essay

Answer:

First off, what you have to do is get your image hosted. Hot linking off another site is not advised.
The easiest websight ive found that host images is www.imageshack.us (http://www.imageshack.us/).
Simply upload your file, and get the DIRECT link to the image. Get this by right clicking on the actual image, and copying the URL you see in there.
If your image is too large for imageshack, I suggest using www.putfile.com (http://www.putfile.com/)

Once you have your URL, insert it into your signature. After that, place tags around it, that will make it visible.

For example, it should look like " http://img27.echo.cx/img27/... " except there should be no " " 's around the link.

And thats all folks!

Ivy, you don't need to delete other mods answers jus so you can look smart, Bulk answered the question fine, also he locked and stickied this thread as an example to prevent threads like this from being recreated. Also for hosting files I agree with you, I would also reccomend www.putfile.com.
