WOULD A MOD PLEASE STICKY THIS?

I am creating this thread because I know that there are members on this site who would like to discuss the latest movies or even movies from the past. There may also be members who would like to recommend movies to other members, I being one of them. Creating this thread may put an end to the numerous threads dedicated to one movie. Here, we can discuss more than one movie.

If you want to recommend a movie, it would be helpful if you would provide a link to the movie at the Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com) and also provide a link to the trailer.

I will start things off:

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (http://imdb.com/title/tt0373469/)

I was going to see it until I downloaded Clerks. I didn't even finish the movie. I wasn't even 20 minutes in. It was not very good at all.

It was not humorous at all. Jay and Silent Bob were not funny, he guy tadvertising for the chewing gum was just retarded.

Clerks is an amazing movie I watched it and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back a couple hours ago. The movies by Kevin Smith are much funnier when you've seen them all.

You said that Kevin Smith's movies are much better after you've watched them all. Well, he directed Jersey Girl.

Well, Kevin Smith has directed a number of movies, the ones I listed link jokes between them though. (Almost all the View Askew movies directed by Kevin Smith)

Never heard of it before now.

It's vague and only hints as to how 'intense' this is supposed to be.

Let us know how it is after you watch it, if it really portrays a real sense of what the 'database' refers as a 'underground high school crime ring'.

Sounds like a load to me. :stare:

HAHA. Roger Ebert gave the film ***. I usually trust him.

I don't trust old men I've never met who think they are up to speed on the aspects and standards of todays movies.

That and, three star ratings are based on the films that meet standards for their rating (R, PG-13, etc), have a consistant story line and/or plot, convey a message to the viewers (regardless of it's intensity or meaning), and is overall entertaining whether or not the movie relates to the viewer.

Alright. I saw Miami Vice last night. It was ****ing awesome. The gun battles were amazing. It felt like I was really there. The movie had a great soundtrack, except for the Phil Collins remake.

Taladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Now that is possibly one of the funniest movies that Will Farrel has done to date. It truly split my sides. (Make sure you stay after the end, its priceless)

putis

It was quite funny, but definitely not the best of Ferrel.

Not the best material he has done. But probably most certainly the best movie he has done.

The Last Temptation of Christ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095497/) and The Crucible (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115988/).

Gotta love the last line from the crucible; "You've taken my soul, LEAVE ME MY NAME!!!"
