View Full Version : EC - Extention Convert [BWHE]

Extention Converter is a small program that I made in Visual Basic that converts the files that are commonly posted on BwHacks (.mp3, .txt, etc.) in to the files they were originally. Example, Evil_sinz uploads a program he made in .mp3 format. I would then download it and convert it to a .exe with the program. you might be asking, "What the hell, I can do that without a program." Yes, you can. But you can still try my program and rate it

-Added .ta7 files (self converting file)
-Added INI file for custom extentions

You can easily do this without a program like you said, but good work. Better than I can do. Plus, it's a learning experience. Nice job.

Thank you!

What a pointless program.

Open a Windows Explorer window and go to Tools>Folder Options...>View>Tick the "Hide extensions for known file types" checkbox.

I use .bat's to rename mass files.

REN *.torrent *.rar

Good practice though, I guess.

Gamepin, I'm pretty sure we all know how to enable extensions.. He already pointed out that you can do this without the program; why reiterate? It just further clutters the monotony of posting on this board.

Kewl, I'll be using this.

This could've been really useful for newcomers, aka newbs, when BWH didn't allow .zip files (and everyone had to rename .txts).

I added /ta7 files. They do all the work :p

Edit: I think your sig is a little messed up. It says I am looking at laptops

Should be called File Renamer.

Extention Renamer would be more accurate.
