This is an excellent site for researching any sort of debate topics you may find in the future. While the main page offers many different things, from internet debates to discussion boards, the true gem of IDEA is its "Debatabase". Debatabase contains information on 315 topics, spanning from UN reform to smoking. Feel free to check it out sometime.

 - remember some moron used this in the trials at my school last year. He took his entire speech from it and spoke for 3 minutes when he was supposed to speak for 8. It has a lot of info, but you could never just copy the stuff it says.

Of course. You'd have to be stupid to just read it. However, it can be of great help to start with.

By the way, I'm curious about your debating background Eye. I hear you've debated in some sort of competition, probably for the Australian team, which, needless to say, is excellent. What sort of tournaments have you participated in, and do you debate in WSDC style?

Nothing that big - not the Australian team, only the state team (ie: queensland). I was in that for my age group last year. Hoping to get into some more prestigious things such as WSDC tho ;)
