Okay, I'm looking to spend about 220$ total. Around there. Less than that would be great. Anyways, I need some advice on which sound card and which speakers I want. All I want is great sound.
Here's what I was thinking:
Soundcard -

Are thos any good? Any other, better suggestions? I just picked what I thought looked good. I don't really know if any of it is good or not.

I'm a creative supporter. I've bought Live, Audigy, Audigy2ZS, x-fi.

for audigy2ZS, you can adjust the sound effects. For example, a wrestler will sound like a female in real time. The card's processor does the effect. There are pre-set effects like techno, new age, theatre, echo hall. You can play with the settings and create your perfect effect. However, some original mp3 sounds better without those effects.

for X-Fi xtreme music, your system will have more resource as the card can process all sound data. X-fi improve the surround effect. In the following way :

--- audigy2ZS---
1. Play left sound
2. Play right sound

--- x-fi -----
1. Play left sound (+ right sound a bit)
2. Play right sound (+ left sound a bit)

On X-Fi, "crystal clear" effect sharpens only a little bit. Almost no difference. "3Dmidi" is just a software which supports surround speakers for midi playback, you can drag and drop and you'll hear guitar on the left, piano on the right. X-Fi has Gamer, Entertainment and Song Composer. It's just that they pre-configured certain 'effects' for Gamer, certain 3D enviroment effects for "entertainment" and on "Song Composer", you can create your own effects.

Audigy2 offers real-time effect creation (enviroment, pitch, tune, etc)
X-fi offers a better surround, lowers system resource and has what Audigy2 has. It has all the 'best' effects for games and entertainment (mp3, movies) pre-set.

Thanks Iverson. You were the one I was hoping would reply to this thread. Anybody else? Anything better than what I have listed?

Am I stupid? I've tried explaining why it's good and compare Audigy2 and x-fi for you. Then I was ignored.

If you think that the effects are not worth a $100 then just use a cheap sound card which supports surround speakers. The creative speakers are ok.

yes and ban users when they spam and keep users when they print passports.
I'm troubled tonight. sorry.
