Process Security/Protection Bypass

I know this is probably going to piss quite a few people off (people who think they're l33t), and make quite a few people happy (n00bs?), but here's a nice little app to help you get around Blizzard's process security/protection for Warcraft3 and Diablo2.

It escalates TSearch's privileges to allow it to see _ALL_ process (including Windows processes/services!)... in other words, you get to go back to memory scanning Blizzard games. I can't see them making a quick little patch for this, they'd have to change the way they protect their processes ;)

Click the button while TSearch is running, and TSearch will be able to list all running process.

(Note: we didn't not write, or know the developers of TSearch, this is an entirely seperate program so PLEASE don't contact us for help with it!)

what does this have to do with hacking starcraft?

There are better ways of going about this than escalating tsearch privileges... You realize that T-Search allows remote connections and this could become a security issue in and of itself.

Actually, windows is less dependant on server applications. Please explain to me what you mean by "Windows is a security issue in and of itself."

How about starting t-search up and just selecting War3.exe because War3.exe has been edited to not hide itself?

"Windows is a security issue in and of itself" as much as "this could become a security issue in and of itself".

These days ANYTHING could be a security issue, heck hosting a game could be a security issue... it also allows remote connections, and TECHNICALLY a hacker may be able to connect, crash the game, execute his own code (escalating the game's process/memory access)... putting them in exactly the same position, with just as much control.

Hi. Is there a way to edit D2's memory with ArtMoney? I think I used to be able to (1.10 or so), but now I cannot. I don't use TSearch. I want to see if it's possible to be able to view lists of another difficulty. I.E. I advance to NightMare, and I want to view Normal Games (My choice).

Any edits you do will be client side only, Tsearch and programs like them are used to find values to create hacks. The only way to view levels from a different difficulty is:
1. create a new character of the difficulty you wish, then switch back and forth
2. somehow convince the game that you are not in a difficulty you are [there is probably one value for it, but good like finding it].
