The Bible is a book about people saying "I've seen it!", not physical evidence.

I just don't get it, and probably never will understand why people believe in something so insesible.
You're thinking of Mars. It is the red planet which NASA believes once supported life, not the moon. As I said in an earlier post, most scientists (physicists and astronomers in particular) believe that the Universe is infinite - to assume that out of all that space we are the only intelligent, sentient life is what is really just plain retarded. Especially since you concede that other planets are or were at one point capable of supporting life.

I don't believe that we (or our governments) are in direct contact with aliens, and I find it highly unlikely there are many within our galaxy. If anything, there may be a couple spying on us and collecting information.
The most the government may know about it is probably some unclear sighting of a UFO deep in space discovered by some NASA probe.

Did you guys notice how he stumbled all of a sudden when asked how did the aliens look like? Then he stuttered and said they look like the small men we see in the movies. That's pretty BS to me.

The fact that you don't believe that there could be life on other planets in this infinite space we call the universe, yet assert that a book written 2000 years ago by primitives justifies the existence of your imaginary friend, forever earns you the label "dumbass".
(Sorry for any religious people that may have been offended.)

I'm not 100% religious. I believe the term "Christian " refers to whether you believe in the story of Jesus. Just because I believe in the story of GoD, doesn't I'm crazy about religion.

Honestly, I would lol if we found some bizarre creature living in space (this is not a video game). Unless this astronaut or whatever the heck he is brings back some evidence such as photos or something of similarity will only further the idea that he's lieing. This is what we call the logic approach on this debate. You ridicule me for believing in God, but you trust in something so idiotic and plain retarded. Like I've stated before, you believing in aliens is the same relevance as believing in the tooth fairy.

It's mathematically improbable that space aliens don't exist, they know for a fact that mars HAD water on it at one point and they believe they've found evidence that microscopic life once lived on mars, there goes your theory right there.

Does anyone else see the glaring irony in this post? The man claims that unless you offer up proof then nothing you say can be trusted, yet he believes in the most fictitious story ever created while needing no proof what so ever (the bible does not count as proof). You refuse to believe that within this universe, a place that has spawned us mind you, that there is other life someplace out there? That is ignorance on a scale that I can not let slide. You bible beaters are whats wrong with this planet, religion was great thousands of years ago, it taught us morals and gave us something to hope for. Now it just holds us back and ties our hands behind our backs while making the general population utter morons.

Do you know how many holes I can rip in your precious bible? How about the fact that it was copied from other religions? How it steals from many different mythologies? Surely the correct religion would not need to borrow so heavily from all of the other religions in the world would it? Yet you take this book as proof of a supreme beings existence, but you refuse to look a little deeper and understand that the universe is ever expanding and its already shown its ability to spawn life, therefore among the countless galaxies and infinite planets and stars there has to be life somewhere out there.

    I ****ing hate Christians.

Yeah, fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me.
Yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies.

I really can't believe the bible anymore ( like I said, i'm not entirely religious). The bible has been changed by man for over thousands of years which in turn has altered some of the information in accordance to what the author believed. Just by going to a book store and browsing through several bibles and reading the material within them will contain discrepant information. I haven't been to church for years.

The bible is still something that bases hope and belief. What information do we have that aliens exist? Video games isn't a reference let alone a source.

As quoted from "Dude Where's my Car" : "Screw thah universe"

Nobody in this thread even mentioned video games until you did. Technologically advanced aliens are completely separate from alien life in general, and I wish you'd stop being ignorant for long enough to understand that. "Aliens," as it were, are just beings from the outside of something, in this case, earth. An alien can simply be an amoeba that lives on another planet, and I don't quite get how hard it is to believe that something as simple as an amoeba can live somewhere outside of earth, especially considering that scientists have found evidence of water on multiple planets, mars being the only one in our solar system.

I'm quite fond on the term "alien". Its something foriegn, doesn't have to be a person. For instance: "The technological device was very alien to the arabs". I've used the term technological device in terms of an exotic or foreign object to the arabs.

Either way, the fact that you believe in some fictitious tale about your imaginary friend without any actual evidence is a direct contradiction to what you're saying.

If you ****ing had the comprehension skills of a monkey, you'd still be able to see that I very clearly expressed doubt in this man's statements. He may very well be lying. But that doesn't mean that in the infinite universe, we are the only living beings.

I'm not exactly ridiculing you for believing in God (even though I do have severe disagreements about that), but the fact that you believe in such a retarded story with no evidence, yet call aliens a far-fetched fairy tale. Some may call that irony, I call that stupidity.

there's also the possiblity of the existance of God. I guess you don't know what your talking about. This is what we call contradictory at a severe level.

The big difference is, the difference between probably, and possibly. There is probably life on another planet somewhere within our Universe - while there is merely the possibility that God exists. And if you look at it from an existential point of view, it is possible only for God to exist so long as people believe he exists, or can exist.
