Quite unbelievably this site has already been around for 5 years, and it has seen a lot of epic moments in its history. But with the game of Starcraft getting rusty, so has this website. For the future, we want to move towards a community that supports a wide range of games. Therefore, we have decided to change our name to GameThreat, with the new URL http://www.gamethreat.net. This new name reflects our progress towards new games, but also points back to the tradition this site was once founded upon. I invite you all to stick around and help me create a prosperous future for our community.

Great idea. Glad you decided to change the domain name so it refers to a wider range of games. It is hard for a community based on one game to survive and thrive. Hopefully we will bring in some more hackers for other games so the site can be even more diversified.

If i may make a sub-announcement, we currently have two skins in development for Gamethreat.net. We plan to eventually have three total skins, a light skin, a dark skin, and a midrange skin. Until the dark skin is completed, we will leave up at least one selection from the current skins to use as a dark skin. Please check out the Light and Midrange skins in the meantime, and report any bugs or graphics problems in the 'website feedback' forum.

Also, in the interest of community, upon the release of SC2, i will be holding a competition to design the new Gamethreat.net logo. The current logo is, in my opinion, a placeholder, because i want your ideas in the final representation of the site.

I'm most likely going to base it off of LavaBlue, but i need it to match the layout of the other two skins for consistency. I promise you, if i do use lavablue, the only difference you'll really notice will be the header and maybe a little less clutter.

I do like the change although I was a bit skeptical about it. The only thing I don't like is that logo.. what about a character from each of the big blizzard games with the BW guy (zealot, hydra, scv whatever) being in the middle and slightly bigger?
