Like many said above me, this hack killed Starcraft for some time (probably ~5 months or more). It's not only killing the game untill the next version, it's also killing the actual community playing for real that realise there's too many hacks in the wild. Blizzard won't patch this ****ing bug in the next 2 days like you want them too. Geez, this game was released 10 years ago, I'm still surprised they do updates (for minor fix).

Even if it's "your" way to make them patch the bug, a better way could have been to send them the hack or just explain them how to exploit it, so they could fix it. What you did is just killing Starcraft, and for real, we can't play melees anymore on Battle.net unless you know everybody in the game and nobody joins Terran (and Zerg also cause of this damn Mineral Hack). That's retard, think with your head guys. If you only act like that for the glory of many noobs playing out there because they are happy to be able to ruin and make them proud of themselves for like 10 seconds because they fail in life and it's the only place where they can be "winners" (by cheating really badly), you could use your reverse engineering skills to create something usefull like a hack detector or anything like that.

Like I said, this release was a total failure. Even if many people downloaded it. Keep this private if you want to make notice Blizzard, but don't ****ing release such a hack anymore in the wild. That was a total retard move. You definately killed Starcraft, I hope you're proud of you now.

Oh, don't worry. Protoss may get some attention. ^_^

But seriously, did you just start playing Starcraft or something? There's been much worse released. No one is trying to "force a patch" (if they are they're dumb). This is just what hackers do. Our main source of fun in the game is exploiting it. You can always get a group of legit players together if you don't want to face cheaters. You'll never avoid it, and it'll never end. There have been many people who use their "skill" to make hack detection. p00onu is updating his Mineral Hack Detector right now. The people that made Warden, guess what? They're a third-party of mostly ex-game hackers. I guess they failed in life too, right? Game hacking is a hobby... just like gaming. Suck it up.

If you like to find bug and exploit them, I don't care. I already did some reverse engineering on commercial apps to create keygen and all. What I mean is just don't release them to the public. Release your map hacks or "no-offensive" hacks, but don't release unfair hacks, like the one this post is all about. When you hear that it's raining nukes on your base and that the ghost are at the other side of the map, I "think" it's unfair and it makes the game uneven. Maybe I'm wrong. I knew some game hackers in the past and I know it's possible to follow some kind of ethic in hacking. Releasing a harmfull exploit to the public isn't ethical at all.

Keeping it private and abusing it compared to releasing it to the public - which is really more unfair and uneven? Releasing a malicious exploit isn't ethical, but neither a mineral refund exploit nor a "nuke anywhere" are malicious according my ethics. And it isn't unfair. It's available here for anyone who wants to download it.

I think that half of the players on Battle.net using it is worst then 1 player using it in private. I don't think that fighting hackers by using hack is a solution.

Nuclear bombs in real life are owned mostly by the military and some closed terrorist groups all around the world. The action of using a nuclear bomb isn't ethical, it's bad, but letting everyone using one is even worst. It's not by allowing everybody to use a hack that you make the game more fair. It's just more unfair.
