Rules (Update)
Welcome to BWHacks. We have some simple rules here we ask you to follow.
Violation of these rules will usually be punished by temporary moderator preview or disabling of your posting. If this has happened to you, you can use the link in your profile to your user notes. A staff member should explain there what you have done wrong.
Repeated and/or massive violation of the rules will result in a ban. Bans are permanent and will in most cases not be undone.
If you want to complain about a punishment, make a thread in this forum. (site issues) If you are unable to post, use the Contact the Webmaster link at the bottom of the page. Do not register a second account. Secondary accounts will be banned without exception.
Rules
1) Search - There is a search button on this forum, and unlike most other forums on the net, ours works great. USE IT!
2) Read - Have the patience to read posts completely before posting a reply
3) Double posting - There is an edit button for a reason, stop trying to buff your post count, its like a record...anyone with any skill or knowledge doesn't give a ****.
4) Staying on topic - A lot of topics have been hijacked lately...And by that i mean getting off topic of the original post. If you want to start a new topic, start your own, don't steal someone else's.
5) Accounts - You must not have multiple user accounts here. If you want to have your name changed, make a thread in the site issues forum.
6) Language - Simple, if you are unable to post in coherent English, do not post at all. If you cannot find a word in an English dictionary, don't use it. U is a letter, you is a word. The two are not interchangeable. This also includes such slang as "hella" "dawg" and "shizzle".
7) Common Sense - Just because it's not posted here doesn't mean it's not against the rules. Think before you post. This is probably the most important rule on there. If you can abide by this perfectly then you won't need to read the rest of this list.
8) Referral Links - No referral links of any kind. This includes all those free iPod sites too.
9) Hack Begging - Do not make threads and/or post to ask people to make or send you a hack. This is extremely annoying.
10) Avatars/Signatures - You are not allowed to put offensive material in your avatar or signature. Doing so will result in very harsh punishment.
11) Tolerance - If you have a bias against a particular ethnic group, that's all fine and dandy, but we do not want to know about it. It's fine to voice an opinion, but when you start offending people, administrative action will be taken.
12) Profanity - A profanity filter has been put in place. Please do not bypass this filter, even in the Flame Board. Repeat offenders will be punished.
13) Posting Related - No trolling, spamming, post whoring, posting of CDKEYS, or WAREZ.
14) Stupid topic related - Do not flame people for starting topics that are not tech related, or you deem unworthy. It will only keep it alive, which is a waste of everybody's time.
15) Spam Related - If a topic truly is spam, it is a mod's job to take care of it, not yours, same as with rule 14, it will only keep it active and waste everybody's time.
16) Reputation - Reputation should not be asked for, furthermore threatening other members for reputation is also not tolerated. Should you be caught begging for reputation you will have all current rep point erased. If a member is caught threatening another member for rep points, there reputation system will be suspended for a minimum of a month, and all point will be erased. EXTENSION - This goes for negative reputation as well. Do not use reputation to threaten others for any purpose, as a method of revenge, or execute premeditated strikes as an individual or as a group. If you do not intend on giving positive reputation to a member for a good post, do not use reputation on that member at all.
17) Hot linked pictures and other items - We have a very lax attachment policy that gives you plenty of space, attach items instead so that they never be broken.
18) Thread Titles - A script is being / has been installed allowing google to show BWH thread titles as search results, so make sure your title is related to the post.
19) Linking - If you're going to put a hack or program from here on your website, post a redirecting link either back here or to the owner's website.
20) This site is a genuine gaming community. General chat posts are obviously acceptable and encouraged, but also remember that there's a section for pretty much every game you could think of, so start posting about your favorite games.
