I need to get me some of this.
X-Flex Bomb proof wallpaper
Bunkers are now bomb proof?
I wonder what would happen if that wrecking ball hit the wall-papered side first though.

All I have to say is that the video should have shown explosions hence bomb proof wallpaper. I understand that is obviously strong because it stopped the ball but what would it do with heat and explosion.

I think you're missing the point.

wasnt Kevlar invented in like the 70's or 80's? or was it sooner? i know dupont made it first. how is it that kevlar has been around for so long, yet we are just now finding things its actually good for, i mean for ****s sake when ever i lay out fiber lines and terminate them i spend a good 20 minutes getting Kevlar yarn out of the line.

Wow you're job is pretty bad ass and cool. How many times do you shoot terrorists when you lay your fiber optics across enemy lines? Like 85 times a day?

lol im in japan not the desert, and i don't see me going to teh desert any time soon, im a tech not a bullet sponge, but good try KC maybe next time you'll find a way to hurt my feelings, then again your air farce so i see no hope in you ever being able to do anything to me EVER.
and back on topic, im sure the kevlar would survive the heat and force of a semi-large explosion but the plastic it uses to stay stuck to teh wall will melt and burn pretty easily.
its real, its just that something like this could have been invented decades ago.

Kevlar is used in bullet proof vests. I'm sure that's a good use for it.
I'm pretty sure the reason for the wallpaper is to withstand the force of an explosion. It wasn't testing whether someone throwing a bomb would be able to get the bomb into your vicinity, but if a bomb blew up outside your shelter, would the force from the explosion (represented by the wrecking ball) break down the wall.
I'm pretty sure that if there was an actual roof attached to that wall, they would still be ****ed.
a standard brick building can keep 95% of its roof intact with 3 walls and one damaged wall.
but in other cases yes the building would collapse

85%?
