Ya, you need an account there, or it's going to take you 5 days to download that one game. After you get an account use a simple queue program like rapget.

just find a good private tracker for torrents. I did and I dl'ed crysis, UT3, Cod4, and Gears of war each in 5 hours.

It's so retarded how they break up files into two thousand 10MiB parts. Just put the thing as ONE 20GiB torrent. How ****ing hard is that?

Or you could do like I do, get a script that enables megaupload happy hour (it gives you premium status from 9pm eastern to 3am eastern) and then download them all in one go.

A site I have a account at uses MU for pretty much everything, and I just wait till 9pm comes around and then I download everything I want from the day.
Or you could just install their crappy tool bar that your supposed to have to use MU happy hour.

A third option is to not have a crappy static IP, Dynamic IP FTW! Download a file, unplug modem, replug modem, download another file, repeat.

Heres a cool little trick I discovered recently,it might be old so if you know it,good on you.

You start off first by typing the the download code with Internet explorer then switch to mozilla firefox and do the same (type the download code for another MU download)

If you are a firefox users you can download multiple files by deleting the cookies simply by pressing ctr+shift+delete. You delete the cookies each time you want to start a new download.

Nova people use MegaUpload for files because it's faster than a Torrent.
I get on average 40kbps on torrents, were as on MU i can max out my download speed.
This coupled with the Happy Hour script I use I can download 10Gb worth of files a night while I sleep. Try downloading 10 gigs worth of torrents a night. For some people this may be possible if you have a very well seeded torrent on a private tracker. However 90% of the people out there do not.
Also since I have a dynamic IP I can download as many files as I want all day so long as they're under 500mb, anything over 500mb I have to save till happy hour.

I laugh at people who use torrents for anything other then music now, I get all of my movies and games from MU and I get them faster than you.

1. If the file gets corrupted somehow, you'd have to download the whole file again. This would mean pointless lowering the ratio on a closed tracker, just so you can get a working copy.
2. You can send one 10MiB chunk via mail attachment, whereas 20GiB doesn't really fit as an attachment for any provider.
3. Wouldn't it be obvious, when you upload a 20GiB file, that you're propably uploading something copylefted? This, at least, partially masks you as a downloader/uploader.

Hence that's why these files broke up to chunks.

The magic of pubbies. You don't need a well seeded torrent, just a few powerful seeds (preferably with shells) do their job just fine.

I laugh at you, 'cause I have added a tracker RSS channel to my torrent client, so as soon as the movie gets released, the client adds and downloads it, usually at full speed. Furthermore, I don't even have to look for it. Just gotta predefine the trigger rules.

In my opinion torrents are and always will be slower then direct downloads, I no longer use a torrent when I have the option of using a direct download.

And about your little RSS thingy, looking for stuff to download is half the fun. Sometimes I just browse through backlogs of stuff with no real idea of what I want to watch or play, and then I end up finding tons of things I want, that to me is much more fun.

Like I said before, if you're not stupid and can use torrents properly, you should have no problem downloading two 6.5gb games simultaneously in under 7 hours. (if you have a cable connection)

Try downloading a 6.5 gb file from rapidshare or megaupload and it would take you 3 days. I do admit though, a premium account is totally worth it. For the price of about $10, you can buy a month account and download EVERY single thing you need for at least a couple months ahead. I got a premium account from rapidshare a while ago and I downloaded so many gb upon gb of games, movies, and apps that, aside from a few good new releases, I barely have the need to download anything anymore.

I can download more than 6.5 gigs in 7 hours from megaupload.
It would take me a bit longer for rapid share since I would have to keep changing my IP after each download.

I happen to have my torrent client setup in tip top shape and I rarely ever max my speed on a torrent. With torrents I can download maybe 2 gigs a day.
