It's the truth.

I've decided to come by after a very long period of time to this site. I see that there is a new blog feature. I also see that DA( stole my avatar. Most troubling news.

I've been going to community college for a while now; I'm on my second semester. I've been taking computer science courses and also major prerequisites.

The Computer Science classes bore me to death but do give an opportunity to get accustom to developing the "standard" way (as in, cross-platform, STL, the like) as opposed to using Win32 APIs and reverse engineering. In fact I've dropped reverse engineering for now and have been focusing on developing linux applications and daemons and, when I have the patience, game development. Of course, this is my focus, not the focus of the class.

Game Development? Yes, I've been messing with SDL and it seems fun. Nothing major, just drawing sine waves across the screen was the last progress I had made. But I want to develop a sort of puzzle game. I've got the coding experience and the music and sound ability, now I just need to meld them together and make something really cool. I'll get back to you guys if I ever get it done.

My Computer Science classes are wastes of time. I'm being taught by a female grad student who just barely has enough knowledge to be able to relay it to others but enough enthusiasm to be accepted for a teaching position. This was fine for a long while until she started to bitch me out for never paying attention in class... I thought college would make high school a distant memory but clearly it never goes away.

Anyway, I thought I'd let you guys know what I've been up to. There's more I've got to talk about yet, such as the $2000 server I bought on ebay for $170 which I've turned into the most overpowered router a home could ever need and how I've been working on making a chat server daemon, similar to the idea of a battle.net type of service, so that I may some day implement it into a game I might create. Just some neat little projects to keep life interesting in between attending pointless classes and keeping the girlfriend sane (if that's you reading this: I was joking and I love you).
